Big Sean dropped this Lemonade freestyle last week and I had to listen to it 3 times in a row because he goes so hard. His delivery continues to grow and improve and his punchlines are too nasty.

Chip Tha Ripper will be stopping in Motivation on Friday from 6-7 PM and meeting fans, taking photos, and signing free Cleveland Show mixtapes. I want to introduce everybody to a new group from Michigan – Uptown Affiliates. One of my close friends (Young Orlando) and my family Nick’s crew formed this group and they’ve generated a lot of buzz in the Metro Detroit area. They are composed of 5 individuals (Young O, Niko, Tony Dibiase, Damjon Marcus, V.I.) and they go hard. Check out this track Who You Know Bang!

I think it’s awesome to see the transition from day to night/night to day. Viewing the city of Dubai from a macro perspective makes the city seem like it has a life of its own; especially when seeing the building lights flicker on and off and the clouds moving overhead and the satellites on top of the skyscrapers waver to and fro. Amazing.

Detroit native and G.O.O.D. Music Signee Big Sean just released a video for the track “A Million Dollars” off his UKnowBigSean mixtape. I was bumping this track heavvvily in the summer when we were just getting STROKE lifted off the ground. Everytime I’d drive up to Burn Rubber or Motivation I had his mixtape on blast. The video is very professional and original, showing various people at the bus stop and their respective dreams. Very inspirational and after reading the comments on the youtube page it’s great to see all the support he’s receiving!

A lot of new stuff has been going on with STROKE recently. One thing that you may notice is a change in our logo. I redesigned the font and brush stroke to have a cleaner look. ( Peep blog header ). STROKE is truly evolving into something more than a streetwear brand. Our vision is to make the STROKE brand a clean premium fashion label that caters to the polished style. The redesign in our logo is a step in developing STROKE to have a more professional polished feeling. In addition, our web address will be changed to STROKEFASHION.COM, because we do not want to limit our clothing strictly to a specific market.

You may have seen us mention the up-n-coming rapper Chip Tha Ripper. Chip is an artist from Cleveland who has been making a name for himself for the past few years. The release of his recent mixtape, The Cleveland Show, has put Chip on the map as an artist to look out for in 2009.

After listening to the mixtape, you may think, “Wow, Chip is really dope. I wonder if I can see him in concert anytime soon.”
Well, the answer is yes! STROKE is bringing Chip Tha Ripper to Ann Arbor January 29th.
If you attended, or herd about, our Mike Posner and Big Sean or Wiz Khalifa show, you would know how rowdy a STROKE event can get. We are experianced with throwing concerts now, and our 3rd attempt at a STROKE event will most defiantly be a great time.
We have been really busy developing STROKE. We are constantly thinking of new ideas and ways to improve and extend our brand and what it represents. It is amazing to see how far our brand has come over the past years, and realize the potential it has to become more.

I’m gonna begin this post with a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Been on chill mode during my Christmas break trying to get things in order for a takeover like jay-hova. Anyway, we got big things on deck, some new winter gear on the way, maybe another show or two with some up-and-coming artists.
